Awaken My Heart - Area-Wide Women's Gathering (2/7)

Awaken My Heart

Ladies,

Life's Journey will be hosting this event at "The Rock Family Worship Center". This invite is for all women in the community. This is your day to enjoy being a woman and to be encouraged. Please be sure to register online under upcoming events.

Janis Miller

Planning began over 6 months ago for "Imagine", an experience designed to challenge women to trust God's dreams and desires for their lives.

When we are little girls our hearts are free to love and experience anything. We are willing to express ourselves with no hesitation. As life happens to us we forget the joy and freedom of trusting God. Esther sets a great example of fighting for His dreams that reside in us. Please join us on Feb. 7th and find the Esther in you!

Please visit www.awakenmyheart.com for specific information about out upcoming experience.

We would love for you to be there!!

• Discuss two barriers to effective listening.
• Name three skills involved in careful listening.
• Implement one means of creating safe spaces for sharing in spiritual caregiving.

With Distinguished Speaker
Richard L. Fenstermacher

Richard L. Fenstermacher (Dick) enjoyed an outstanding 31 year career with Ford Motor Company. He retired in 1995 as the Executive Director—Marketing Strategies and Plans, North American Operations. His career at Ford Motor Company began in 1964 as a sales analyst. As Dick climbed the corporate ladder, he advanced his career by taking positions in sales, marketing, customer service, finance, and strategic planning. Dick was promoted quickly through out Ford Motor Company. He spent the last 10 years of his service at Ford’s Corporate Office—first, as Executive Vice President—Ford Motor Credit Company, and then as Executive Director—Marketing Strategies and Plans, North American Operations.

Dick is an engaging (and highly sought-after) speaker. In fact, he served as the key-note speaker for the Governor’s Prayer Breakfast in Oklahoma City on April 19, 1995 to over 1,200 men and women. Thirty-two minutes after Dick’s presentation ended, history was made tragic when 168 people died in the bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building. Several men and women who attended the Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast that morning were among the dead. In 2005, Dick was asked to come back to Oklahoma City and to deliver the 10-year anniversary address for the Governor’s Prayer Breakfast.

Dick shares a compelling story--we invite you and a guest to meet Dick as he challenges men to consider the life we are each given to live.

Registration is required! Costs: $15/ea. and tables of 8 are available at $120. Registration deadline is: Tuesday, Feb. 3rd by 5pm.

Serving the City As One - Strategic Meetings and Preparation

STC

Subject: Serving the City - Saturday, April 18, 2009

Dear Friends,

Serving the City as ONE is creating some great excitement as we approach the preparation months for this year. New this year – a Serving the City hub in Madison . We are thankful for Madison First Church of the Nazarene for accepting this role. They are excited about serving and a little bit anxious about what is involved – pray for them and all the churches in Madison to be a part of this hub site. We are also working on a north Huntsville hub site. One church is considering serving in this role. Pray for the north Huntsville hub site to develop this year.

Our interest meetings are listed below. If you or anyone from your church would like to attend you are welcome. The interest meetings are for those who have not been involved in STC and would like more information about being a part. If you have friends or family in another church encourage them to consider attending an interest meeting and discover how their church can be involved.
