About Grace Lutheran Church
Grace Lutheran Church was founded in 1958 as Huntsville's first Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod, and is part of the Southern District. Grace has enjoyed a growth pattern paralleling that of Huntsville. Our present membership includes 845 baptized members (618 confirmed), representing almost every state in the union and several foreign countries.
In 1963, Grace started a kindergarten. Grace Lutheran School was born, and added a grade or two every year until 1969. The pre-kindergarten, 7th and 8th grades were added in 1977-1978. The Lutheran Church has had a rich history of creating Christian schools, and the founding members of Grace felt they could do no less then maintain that tradition.
Our church staff consists of our Pastor, Rev. Kevin Ardnt; Kevin Brandon, our youth minister; Dr. Ellinor White, Grace's principal; as well as a music director, Christian Education Director, Business Manager, Facilities Coordinator, and several church and school secretaries. Our school has 9 full time and 6 part time teachers.
Grace is a friendly congregation intentionally geared to reaching out in Christian love to visitors and fellow members alike. Under our pastor's direction, we have begun the Tentmaker's Program to learn how to better evangelize and talk to people. With the third tenet of our mission being, "To boldly share the love of Jesus", this program will help our members gain the knowledge, courage and confidence to share our faith with the community. |

The MOMENTUM CONFERENCE is a student ministry event designed for every single member of your group to catch a vision of God’s purpose for your entire youth group. It is more than just a weekend of Bible studies, dramas, videos, and more. It is narrowly focused on who God has called your group to be, and what He has purposed your group to do.
Mark Hall and Casting Crowns have partnered with Global Youth Ministry to bring this conference to your city during the 2007/2008 Altar and Door concert tour. Every youth pastor, adult leader, and student in your group will be equipped with Biblical principals and practical, take-home tools for ministering to teens!

Area Churches Joining Together and Serving the City as One!
April 19th, 2008
For more information on the incredible opportunity or upcoming interest and training meetings that will be occurring, you may contact Mike Pearce (Serving the City Coordinator) at (256) 655-3423 or mike@fbchsv.org.
Excerpt from Serving the City as ONE brochure:
"Serving the City is a one day, multi-church, area-wide effort to serve our community this spring. The impact made on our community for Christ will be wide spread and will touch people at every level.
There will be multiple projects designed so that every person will find something they will enjoy doing. Volunteers work inside around tables; others can repair roofs and houses; others can enjoy face-to-face projects. No matter the skill level, you and your church will find the servant projects just right for you.
Churches will be able to involve everyone in this one day effort. You may choose a project that involves only your members, or choose to work along side other Christian brothers and sisters, hand in hand." |
