Pre-Call Rally Greater Huntsville - Lou Engle (6/8)
|
|
Lou Engle is the visionary and co-founder of The Call solemn assemblies (www.TheCall.com), a movement of prayer gathering youth to pray and fast for breakthrough and revival. The Call began in Washington, DC in 2000 gathering over 400,000 people to pray and fast for the United States. Since 2000, The Call has gathered hundreds of thousands people to pray both national and internationally. After a few years of dormancy, The Call has been revived beginning in Nashville on 07.07.07.
Lou Engle's heart passion is to call young people into a lifestyle of radical prayer, fasting, and holiness. And to that end, while praying for revival in the United States for over 30 years, in 2004, Lou planted the first Justice House of Prayer in Washington, DC to contend with the injustice of abortion and to pray for righteous leaders to be raised up in America. Since 2004, JHOPs have emerged in San Francisco, Boston, and San Diego.
Lou and his wife, Therese, have been married for over 20 years and together they have five sons and two daughters. (www.louengle.com)

A nation will gather, giants will fall ... through the sling and stone of fasting and prayer ...
Massive, United Fasting and Prayer Can Shift a Nation
On 07.07.07, tens of thousands from across America will gather in Nashville to fast, pray and cry out to God for another Great Awakening!
40 years after the start of the Jesus Movement and 40 years after the rebellion of the Summer of Love, it’s time for a new generation to step forward and return to the Lord and to renew our covenant vows of love with Him.
In the Bible, the word for ‘oath’ literally comes from the word ‘seven’ because they would repeat their vows seven times. 07.07.07 is a divine opportunity to divorce our false loves and remarry the Lord.
2007 is a covenant year for America, the 400th anniversary of the planting of the cross in Virginia. We believe that if the Church will gather to fast and pray, God will visit America in an historic awakening again. (More)
