LINCOLN VILLAGE MINISTRY
Lincoln Village Ministry, started in November 2002, is a broad-based ministry located in the Lincoln Mill Village area (map) of Huntsville, Alabama.
This ministry, guided by Mark Stearns, Director of Mercy Ministries at Southwood Presbyterian Church (PCA), seeks to impact the residents of this community through many avenues. The first stages of the ministry began in Lincoln Elementary School. We began to provide financial and personnel support to this school. A tutoring program was developed allowing us to come alongside the school and provide additional help in improving the state required standardized test scores which are to be raised for each school year.
After being involved with the students for a short time, we realized that we needed to expand our vision to include other areas of the community. For this reason, we have begun to be involved in as many areas of community life as possible. We now provide help in meeting medical, dental, legal, clothing and nutrition needs. Lincoln Village Restoration, the guiding non-profit entity for housing, has purchased approximately thirty-five housing units that are in the process of being renovated. We also attempt to help secure employment for the families we are in contact with.
Since its inception, Lincoln Village Ministry has enjoyed the partnership and support of a large number of other churches, both locally and from around the Southeast. We have ten to fifteen different churches representing many different denominations working side by side in this effort.
Everything that flows from Lincoln Village Ministry provides opportunities to present and live out the gospel to all we come in contact with. Although our focus is to minister both the physical and the spiritual needs of those we meet, we have received the richest of His blessings through the privileges of serving our neighbors and being the hands and feet of Christ.
AREAS OF MINISTRY
Housing - Purchasing and refurbishing houses, providing low income families safe, affordable, and excellent homes.
Medical - Providing medical services including surgeries, cosmetic dental procedures, optometry, etc. for individual’s physical health and emotional well being.
Physical - Meeting the physical needs including food and clothing to those in need in our community.
Legal - Offering legal assistance for those unable to afford adequate legal representation, preventing existing problems from becoming too great to overcome.
Educational - Establishing tutorial programs in order to enhance the existing educational system in the community and give students the ability to dream and excel.
Emotional - Impacting the emotional stability of individuals dealing with mental illness and everyday coping skills through pediatric and adult psychiatrists and psychologists.
Spiritual - Realizing that the opportunity to share the gospel with individuals experiencing life’s hurdles provides an open door to the saving grace of Christ Jesus. Volunteers reach out through bible studies, discipleship, and evangelism in one on one and group settings.
CONTACT

Church Staff - Core Values
Valley Fellowship Christian Academy (VFCA)
VFCA was founded in the fall of 1987 offering students a sheltered, caring environment that causes them to flourish in Christian character, to know God, and to develop academically and socially. We have taken missions trips to Russia and Jamaica, as well as numerous trips to Washington, D.C. The school often participates in a national high school competition in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Prayerfully consider the school environment that is best for your child. VFCA may be the school that is right for you. The faculty and staff of VFCA are honored to be used by God in training the next generation. Come be a part of pursuing excellence at VFCA. An education is important. A Christian, quality education is priceless.

Valley Fellowship Church
We are an independent, charismatic, interdenominational fellowship, and our vision is to be a New Testament "lighthouse" that will herald the return of Christ. All of the ministries of our church emphasize praise and worship, prayer, teaching of the Word, fellowship and outreach.
Valley Fellowship was founded in 1980 as a vibrant, powerful Full Gospel church that exalts Jesus Christ and the integrity of His Word. From a small group of people meeting in various rented facilities, we have grown into a large church family with our own property on Holmes Avenue.
When the founding pastor left, Jerry Simon was called here from Louisiana in 1984 to assume the leadership of the church. He continued to pastor until 1993, when he was martyred for his strong righteous stand he had taken here in the Tennessee Valley.
Instead of quitting, the church has gone forward in power and anointing. As we look to the future with our co-pastors, Pastor Carol Simon and Greg Simon, we anticipate expanding onto our recently purchased land beside Butler High School.
If you would like to know more about, or become involved with, any of our ministries, activities, or departments, please feel free to call the church office at (256) 533-5117, e-mail us at valley@valleyfellowship.com. |

Jesus, the Reward of Life!
He's the Goal, the Destination, the Objective ...
He's the Purpose, the Reason, the Cause ...
He's the Incentive, the Motivation, the Inspiration ...
He's the Hope, the Assurance, the Security ...
He's the Prize, the Glory, the Reward!
"And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth." (Jn 1:14)
The WORD did not become a philosophy, a theory, or a concept to be discussed, debated or pondered ... but the WORD became a PERSON to be followed, enjoyed, and loved! (author unknown)
Merry Christmas!
