Christian Business Expo - VBC |
Huntsville Christian Business Expo
We are scheduling business expositions across the US. These expos are designed to bring together Christian owned/operated businesses and the Christian consumer. 2 out of 3 (67%) of consumers surveyed indicate they would prefer to do business with Christian owned/operated businesses BUT ... they don't know which businesses are and are not Christian based!!! We intend to change this troubling paradigm and unite the Christian consumer with Christian businesses.

Area-Wide Martin Luther King Jr. Emancipation Proclamation Celebration
4pm January 15th, 2006
Von Braun Center
Dear Pastor:
You and your congregation are invited to attend and participate in the Greater Huntsville Interdenominational Ministerial Fellowship (GHIMF) sponsored Emancipation Proclamation - Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration to be held on January 15, 2006 at 4:00 p.m. The service will be held at the Von Braun Center Arena.
You are invited to participate in the procession of Pastors and Ministers into the Hall at the beginning of the service. Dark attire is to be worn for this event. Your choir is invited to participate in the City-Wide Celebration Mass Choir under the direction of Dr. Janette Kotey. The choirs are asked to dress in their robes for this occasion. We are asking you to submit the name of your music director to Dr. Kotey at your earliest convenience. She will then distribute copies of the music to be sung at the service to each choir. The choirs should then practice the music prior to the final rehearsals at the Von Braun Center. The choirs are to march into the Center from various entrances and proceed to the West side of the arena in a grand march as they sing the songs of Zion.
We are also requesting contact information for your youth and ushers. The youth of each church will be asked to participate in the procession into the service carrying flags of different countries of the world, as well as banners from the churches that have them. Each church youth group may have three people to march with their banner. The ushers of each GHIMF church are to serve during the service.
The coordinators of each activity are listed below and information about how to contact them may be found at www.GHIMF.org.
Pastors Processional: Rev. Wendell Thompson;
Music: Dr. Janette Kotey and Minister Alfreda Moore;
Youth (flags/banners): Rev. Leroy Cole, Mrs. Charlotte Wykoff, Youth Minister Chad Rehnberg;
Ushers: Minister Priscilla Montgomery and Mrs. Jennifer Devlin.
Thank you in advance for the participation of your church in this event. We hope that we can all come together to help fulfill the dream of Dr. King here in Huntsville, Alabama.
Yours in Christ,
Rev. Dr. Oscar L. Montgomery, President of GHIMF
"Greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world." (1 Jn 4:4)

Cove United Methodist Church
Cove Church was founded in 1997 with a vision of serving our growing community with a strong biblical emphasis, a fresh contemporary style, and excellent ministries to children and youth. We have grown to over 800 in worship attendance each week and over 400 involved in C-groups.
Our Vision
To Be a Biblically Functioning Community.
Our Mission
To help people Discover a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and Develop and Demonstrate a Christ-like lifestyle.
Our Strategy The 3 C's-
Celebration Services
Cell Groups (Small Groups)
Call to Ministry
|
"... All the believers were together and had everything in common ... they continued to meet together...they broke bread together in their homes." Acts 2
Cove's Priority on Small Groups
Cove Church has become literally a Church of Small Groups. Our master plan for organizing the entire congregation calls for every adult member to be in one of our small groups called C-Groups. We are fast becoming a church where no one stands alone and we all stand together! Currently 80% of our adults are actively involved in a C-Group. This C-Group network is a strategic aspect of our Vision as a church...to become a Biblically-functioning Community of Christ-followers just like the folks in Acts 2.
What is a C-Group?
The "C" stands for Christ, Cove, Cell, Community, Connected, Commitment and Church. Each C-Group is made up of 6-16 adults that meet 2-4 times monthly for about 2 hours in the relaxed setting of homes. C-Groups usually kick off in January and September then meet for 12-24 months. During this time you can really get close to the others in your C-Group. Each group maintains a balance of three key ingredients: authentic Christ-centered relationships, relevant Bible discussions and informal prayer for one another.
Being in a C-group gives you the opportunity to grow in your personal relationship with Jesus Christ, get to know and love a few people well and stay plugged in to the exciting ministries around Cove Church.
C-Groups ... a whole new way of being and doing Church together!
