Safe at Home Huntsville!

AUGUST 7th 2005 - JOE DAVIS STADIUM - It's Coming!!
www.SafeAtHomeHuntsville.com

What is Safe at Home?
Safe at Home is designed for the whole family! A ticket gets you in the park to enjoy a Huntsville Stars baseball game. Then after the game, you will see some of today's best-known Christian artists and personalities including Point of Grace, tobyMAC and Rick Burgess from the Rick and Bubba show! There's even Veggie Tales characters signing autographs for the kids! Scott Dawson will present a message of hope and offer an opportunity for people to respond. Everyone who comes is sure to leave with a smile on their face because they had such a great time! View the video!!

What time does it start and end?
Safe at Home begins at Joe Davis Stadium in Huntsville Sunday afternoon, August 7, 2005 at 2 PM and will last until around 8 PM.

Who is sponsoring this event?
Churches and business leaders throughout the Huntsville area have come together to bring this amazing event to our city! The Scott Dawson Evangelistic Association conducts Safe at Home events throughout the United States. By invitation, Scott and his staff have agreed to bring Safe at Home to Huntsville!

What is the overall goal?
Simply put, the goal of both the spiritual leaders of Huntsville and of the Scott Dawson staff is to see people of all ages introduced to the hope that in Christ in a non-threatening environment and to involve Bible-believing churches in this area in the process. Go to Church Involvement to find out how you and your church can help.

A note to leaders from Dwayne Moore, Safe at Home Huntsville Director ...

Greetings Huntsville Leaders!

Phenomenal… That’s the only word that I know to describe Safe at Home Huntsville. Momentum is building every day. We are nearing fifty churches who are now participating! (Click here for a complete listing.) Several hundred tickets have already been sold! The radio spots on WAY-FM and WFIX (starting Monday, June 13) will only add fuel to the fire!

The question is not whether we will fill up Joe Davis Stadium Sunday afternoon, August 7. The pressing question is will the Christians in our churches bring their lost and unchurched friends and loved ones? Our goal is to have 30% of the crowd to be non-believers. Scott Dawson will faithfully and effectively present a message of hope and give them an opportunity to receive Christ. Our responsibility as local leaders is to get to the stadium those who need to hear and respond. Please join me in prayer that every Christian who comes will bring a lost/unchurched person with them.

Please note the following very important items:

  1) Please order your block of tickets ASAP. It works like this: You send SDEA a check for the total amount ($5 per ticket). We send you the tickets. Your church SAH coordinator distributes them as you see fit. Contact us for more information.

  2) Send your people to be trained as Encouragers (formerly known as Counselors). Billy Graham has taught us that the more Encouragers we train the more decisions He will bless us with! Three identical sessions to choose from are offered in July throughout our area:

  • July 12 at Calvary Assembly of God/Decatur (www.calvaryassembly.org - Map),
  • July 19 at First Missionary Baptist Church/Huntsville (www.fmbc.org - Map), and
  • July 28 at Grace Lutheran Church/Huntsville (www.gracelutheran-hsv.org - Map).

  • All the sessions are from 6:30 - 8:30 PM. The session provides guidelines regarding the Encourager’s role and basic witness training. View/Print the Poster to help recruit Encouragers.

      3) Download the Bulletin Insert/Handbill and distribute it among your people to help promote the event.

      4) If you are a Participating Church, you should have received Prayer Posters by now (and a DVD if you requested one). If you have not, please contact us and we will send those immediately. Please lead your people to pray weekly for this awesome opportunity August 7!

      5) If you have not yet signed up to be a participating church, click here to find out what that entails and how to sign on!

Thank you for the investment you are making in the Kingdom by participating with Scott Dawson and Safe at Home Huntsville! Please call me at 509.4026 if I can help you in any way!
