Africa invites the world ...

An incredible opportunity is being presented to us (the Christian community of Greater Huntsville) in association with an international effort known as the "Global Day of Prayer" ...

From sunrise in the East to sunset in the West, Christians will fill stadiums across the globe for worship and prayer on Pentecost Sunday, May 15th 2005. The focus includes their cities/communities, their nation/continent, and the nations of the world. Over 200,000,000 Christians are expected to participate, including leadership from 6 continents and over 240 nations, with international broadcasts that will occur from at least one stadium from each timezone.

  The strategy in 3-fold:
1.) Mobilize 10 days of 24 hour prayer leading up to Pentecost Sunday
2.) Mobilize a public stadium event Pentecost Sunday
3.) Mobilize 90 days to bless the city - mercy and compassion ministry to areas of need.

And this to be built on for 5-years (through 2010).

This sprang out of Africa (the "dark" continent becoming a "light" to the nations!), and in the last three years has spread to the entire continent, every nation in Africa participating, and this year leaps internationally to include the world.

Huntsville! Currently 40 states have GDP events in progress, though none yet in Alabama. Huntsville city leaders have now granted the Chirstian community the use of Joe Davis Stadium! Please plan to join Christians around the world - people of every nation, language, and tongue - as we come together in corporate prayer for our cities, communities, and nations from 3pm-6pm, May 15th 2005, on Pentecost Sunday - the day the church was born ... the day the Great Commission was ignited ...

City-Wide Passover Report - Bless the City!

Christ Our Passover 2005 Report!

Offering to Bless the City

The appointed feasts of the LORD were times when none appeared before the LORD empty handed -- meaning without an offering in worship to honor Him (Ex 23:15, Deut 16:16). We chose to demonstrate this principle on March 22, 2005 by enabling a city-wide offering unto the LORD that was used to bless the city.

Here one of the brief media clips regarding the evening from the Friday Huntsville Times: Friday Highlight

Washing the Feet of Our City!

The Huntsville Police Department was honored with a special gift during the evening as an expression of thanks and appreciation for their faithful service to our city and community. Major Ed Nixon, Captain Jack Meeks, and Captain Henry Reyes were present on behalf of the department during the special presentation.

In addition, the city-wide offering that was received was presented to Huntsville Police Department to be used toward a great present need of protective equipment (including bullet-proof vests) which was a need strongly recommended by Mayor Loretta Spencer.

After the expression of honor and thanks, was corporate prayer for the Police Department and City. After praying for protection, we then received an offering that would be designated to helping to protect the officers of our community. The offering for this protective gear was presented to Chief Rex Reynolds last Tuesday morning for $10,662!

OUR MISSION

To be passionately in love with Jesus and committed to living, preaching and demonstrating the Kingdom of God.

OUR VISION

Our vision is to see the Father’s heart revealed and accomplished in the earth.

What is the Father’s heart? Although there are many facets and manifestations of the Father’s heart, we believe one word, one life, one person sums it up ... JESUS.

How is the Father’s Heart accomplished on earth? As we acknowledge Jesus as the Divine Expression of the Father’s heart, we then become a Dwelling Place for God here on earth.

Therefore our vision is to see every kindred, tongue, people and nation redeemed unto God to become His Dwelling Place.

“Now the dwelling of God is with men and He will live with them.” A Loud Voice from the Throne

OUR CORE VALUES

Prayer: God’s purposes are accomplished on earth through the intercession of His church. We are to pray for His Kingdom to come and His Will to be done on earth as it is in Heaven. His House is to be called a House of Prayer.

Worship: Passionate worship allows us to express our love toward God. As we worship Him in Spirit and in truth we encounter an intimate relationship between our heart and His.

Outreach: Jesus said to go into all the world and preach the gospel therefore we participate in and support local and global evangelism.

Equipping: Every person has a God given destiny. Unfortunately many people never fulfill that destiny even among believers. It is vital therefore that all believers discover their destiny in Christ and that they are released into it. The present ministry of the Fivefold ministry gifts (i.e. apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers) were given to equip and prepare God’s people. This is accomplished through teaching, discipleship, activation and impartation.

Family: The most important relationship outside of our personal relationship with God is our relationship with our family. If we are not real in our own house, we are not real anywhere.

Youth: Malachi 4:5-6 states that before the Lord returns that the spirit of Elijah will come to turn the heart of the fathers to the children and the heart of the children to their fathers. Joel 2:28 states that in the last days “your sons and daughters will prophesy.” God is releasing a prophetic anointing on the youth who desperately need spiritual fathers and mothers to mentor them and cast the mantle.

Unity: Jesus prayed that we would be one just as He and the Father are one. Unity is not conforming to the doctrines, ideas, opinions, etc. of others, but a commitment to walk in covenant relationships with each other, despite our differences. Jesus said that unity would show the world that God sent Him and that God loved them. We believe that God is uniting the Body of Christ to reap a worldwide harvest into His Kingdom.

Giving: God loves a cheerful giver. We believe in the joyful and sacrificial giving of tithes and offerings as an expression of worship to God and as a means to expand His Kingdom.

Faith: It is impossible to please God without faith. We should endeavor to live by faith in God’s Word as it pertains to every area of our life (i.e. spiritually, physically, emotionally, socially, and financially.)
