GDOP Area-Wide Governing Board

The purpose of the Governing Board is to bring a much broader ownership of this effort than the area-wide steering team alone could provide, and includes key/strategic leadership that might not be able to serve on a steering team due other responsibilities, but whose input is needful to help define and shape this initiative so it is truly representative of the area-wide Christian community. The intent is that those on this Board represent whole relational networks of people in the Christian Community with diverse political ideology, racial/cultural heritage, age/generation, gender, denominational distinction, etc. so that planning and coordinating may be further refined, weighed, and guided at a city-level.

GDOP Area-Wide Coordinators

The purpose of the GDOP Area-Wide Coordinators is to chair the GDOP Area-Wide Steering Team, under the oversight of the GDOP Area-Wide Board, serving as the relational bridge between the GDOP Board and Steering Team.

GDOP Area-Wide Steering Team

The Area-Wide Steering Team is also a diverse representation of the Body of Christ, and provides planning, administration, coordinating of event details, and logistics. It is what all the relational networks above would generally have organized for past area-wide event coordination efforts.

This team includes many pastors and leaders from throughout the community, and is still growing. Initially included here are the steering team points of contact for the three phases of GDOP (10 days of prayer, 1 day event, 90 days of compassion/outreach).

The following churches and organizations provided counsel, input, and support, in establishing the GDOP Governing Board and Steering Teams to enable a broader area-wide representation and ownership for the Christian Community in Greater Huntsville.
